Oracle Database guarantees atomicity in updates to multiple tables in a single database using its 2-phase protocol, i.e. we can rollback/commit after doing updates in multiple tables. This ensures atomicity in updates to multiple tables in a single database.
Does Apache Hive also support any such atomicity in inserts in multiple tables of the same database?
If no, can somebody please provide some pointers on how can I achieve this with Hive. Do I need to implement 2-phase commit protocol on my own on top of Hive in order to achieve this?
