redirect to another website this url

I have this 2 links as example :

http://thisismysite.com/news/news.aspx?id=2221
http://thisismysite.com/news/news.aspx?id=4321
etc etc

If you open this link it should redirect you to another website with same parameters :

http://otherwebsite.com/news/news.aspx?id=2221
http://otherwebsite.com/news/news.aspx?id=4321

Is this possible ?

Thank you

hiding port number through .htaccess node.js express

I am running two node servers on my website. 1 is a socket.io server for live streaming data on the main site and the other is streaming JSON data to a sub-domain api.site.com.

my main node is running on port 8001 and the second is running on 8080. I have been able to hide the port number for the first one in .htaccess using

RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 8001

but am struggling to hide the 8080 port.

If I add in RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 8080 and go to my api location api.site.com/prices/all I get 404 not found error and if I go to api.site.com:8080/prices/all everything still works.

How can I hide the port so api.site.com/prices/all works?

This is also slightly linked to my other question: here where I want to deny other .get attempts so api.site.com/price wont work.

What’s the formula for redirecting links to subfolder htaccess?

There are SO many questions on this I know, but there always seems to be a lack of complete understanding on my part about htaccess files. My file is really simple (taken from Bluehost as with other projects):

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?theglobalhuman.com$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/www/
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /www/$1

My folder structure (in a nutshell) is:

root
 |-- app
      |--templates
            |-- admin
            |-- public
 |-- tmp
 |-- www
 |-- .htaccess

Where www has the index file.

So if I go to website.com, things are fine. If I go to website.com/something/more, that works fine, which hits the templates/public folder.

However, if I go to website.com/admin/more, which goes to the templates/admin folder, for some reason the htaccess breaks and inserts www into the url. Has anyone ever has this problem?

What’s the formula for redirecting links to subfolder htaccess?

There are SO many questions on this I know, but there always seems to be a lack of complete understanding on my part about htaccess files. My file is really simple:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/www/

# Rewrites all URLS [Replace "domain" with the actual domain, without the TLD (.com, .net, .biz, etc)]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?website\.

# Rewrite all those to insert /folder
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /www/$1 [L]

My folder structure is simply app, tmp, and www at the root. www carries the index.php file.

So if I go to website.com, things are fine. If I go to website.com/something, that works fine.

However, if I go to website.com/something/more, it then redirects to website.com/www/something/more. Any idea why it doesn't behave and go to website.com/something/more?

Block a div load at page-load for the htaccess popup

I am struggeling with the following problem:

I want to stop a div from loading at the page startup. I've got the content inside the div file in an extra folder which is secured with an htaccess+htusers file.

So atm the htaccess question starts immediately when the page is loaded, but it should only ask about this permission, when the button is clicked and the folder content should appear.

Is there a possibility to stop a div from loading and force the load with a button or something?

nexus repository (v 3) with apache and SSL

I have a newly setup server with apache httpd and a certificate. So that when I connect to the machine with https I get the welcome page and a green padlock (in chrome). I then install the Nexus Repository Manager (version 3) and add the following to my httpd.conf:

<VirtualHost *:80>
   ServerAlias repo.icatproject.com
   ProxyPass / http://localhost:8081/
   ProxyPassReverse / http://localhost:8081/
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:443>
   ServerAlias repo.icatproject.com
   ProxyPass / http://localhost:8081/
   ProxyPassReverse / http://localhost:8081/
</VirtualHost>

Now when I connect using http all is well but when I connect with https from chrome I get:

This site can’t provide a secure connection

and firefox says:

 Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to repo.icatproject.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Any ideas what I have done wrong?

Not seeing improvement in response times after using Cloudflare CDN

I have a php, Mysql, Apache based website. Hosting server located in London.

Opened cloudflare account, enabled and configured my website to route via cloudflare and enabled caching for static content.

Ran a page load test from different countries. and could not see any improvements.

The test tool howwver detects that i am making effective use of CDN. but there isnt any performance improvement.

1 My static resources each takes around 20ms to download when accessed from london. 2. When accessed from other countries, these resources are taking a good 600ms roughly.

am i missing something?
