WAMP Apache not starting up

I've trawled through the boards but cant find a solution to my problem.

I've run a netstat, and nothing else is using port 80. I have disabled every bit of security on my system, just to be doubly sure nothing is stopping it.

MySQL boots up just fine, but Apache does not start up. Using the built in port 80 tester also says that port 80 is clear, but when I click the start service button on Apache in WAMP nothing happens.

Any help is appreciated.

Apache Slow due to execution path [closed]

I'm running PHP 5.3.17, Apache 2.2.15 and MySQL 5.1.61 on CentOS 6.3.

This is the call stack of my web page:

apache_root/dir1/index.html
apache_root/dir1/dir2/file1.php
apache_root/dir1/dir2/file2.php

index.html calls file1.php, which calls file2.php .

With this path I'm experiencing that I have to wait minutes until the page is displayed.

With the same call sequence but with this directory:

apache_root/dir1/index.html
apache_root/dir1/file2.php
apache_root/dir1/dir2/file1.php

The page is displayed immediately! What is the problem here?

Vagrant/Puppet — ensure: change from present failed: Could not set ‘present on ensure: No such file or dir

I am using Vagrant and Puppet to install Apache and PHP on Ubuntu. However I am getting the error below during vagrant up. I think the path for the templates are correct, then why the error?

I'm using the setup here modified to ensure apt-get update runs before anything else

ab load testing

Can someone please walk me through the process of how I can load test my website using apache bench tool (ab)?

I want to know the following:

How many people per minute can the site handle?

Please walk me through the commands I should run to figure this out.

I tried every tutorial, and they are confusing.
